Published for the first time at the Hanover Fair in 2011, Industrie 4.0 marks the fourth industrial revolution in which industrial production is combined with modern information and communication technology. This is based on intelligent and digitally networked systems.

Due to industry 4.0, work processes will change massively, since a whole value-added chain can be optimised, not just a production step.
