A professionally run assessment centre offers more than just a first impression: it highlights potential, reduces the risk of hiring the wrong person and provides a clear basis for key HR decisions. OMC has been supporting companies for over 25 years in designing and delivering such programmes — using sound methodology, offering bespoke solutions, and working as equals.
An Assessment Centre (AC) is a structured observation process in which candidates are assessed in realistic scenarios. Unlike a traditional job interview, the focus is on observable behaviour — assessed by trained observers against clearly defined criteria. The result: well-founded, legally sound recruitment decisions rather than subjective impressions.
Together, we analyse the job requirements for the target position and, based on this, develop a bespoke assessment centre design: suitable exercise formats, assessment criteria and observer forms.
Internal observers receive targeted training in assessment criteria, behavioural anchors and structured documentation. This ensures comparability and objectivity throughout the process.
The AC Day follows a clearly structured programme: briefing, exercises (individual and group), interview, conclusion. OMC facilitates, observes and guides the process professionally.
Following the assessment centre, we produce a structured report on the results. Companies receive clear recommendations for action, whilst participants receive personalised feedback.
At OMC, our senior consultants bring not only diagnostic expertise to the table, but also their own leadership experience from the business world. This makes all the difference: in our understanding of the role, in the quality of our behavioural observations, and in the clarity of our recommendations. We do not develop off-the-shelf solutions, but design each assessment centre based on your specific requirements profile. We have been doing this for over 25 years.
